Leadership Team

Andrew Coffey is the Ireland Chief Executive Officer, having joined the company in 2023. He brings over three decades of insurance and reinsurance experience, previously serving as Deputy Group Chief Risk Officer at the Standard Club and in a range of senior leadership roles at the Central Bank of Ireland. Andrew started his career as a reinsurance underwriter. He served as a consultant to Pelagos Insurance Capital in 2022 prior to joining the company. He holds an Honors Degree in Mathematics and Economics from Trinity College Dublin.

Bennet Gibson is the Bermuda Chief Executive Officer, appointed to the role in 2025. He brings over a decade and a half of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, having worked previously at Tokio Millennium Re. He began his career as an auditor at KPMG. Bennet joined Pelagos Insurance Capital as Financial Controller of the Bermuda entity in 2019 and was promoted to Bermuda Chief Financial Officer in 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Finance and Accounting from University of Glasgow, and is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate in Reinsurance.

Ian Houston is the Group Chief Underwriting Officer, having joined the company in 2023. He brings over three and a half decades of professional underwriting experience, having held senior roles at PartnerRe, including Technical Director of Specialty Lines and Head of Group Retrocession, where he focused on strategy, risk appetite framework, and portfolio shaping. Ian holds a Bachelor’s degree from Polytechnic of the South Bank and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Miranda Hunter is the Group Chief Investor Relations Officer, having joined the company in 2023. She brings over two decades of experience in investor relations and strategic development, having held senior roles at Axis Capital, Aeolus Capital Management, and Validus Holdings. Miranda began her career as an accountant at PwC and KPMG. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Nicole Kapu-Leyland is the Group General Counsel, appointed to the role in 2025. She brings over a decade of legal experience across financial services. Prior to Pelagos, Nicole was a senior associate in the corporate insurance team at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. Nicole also worked as an associate in the Financial Institutions Group at Clifford Chance LLP, where she was seconded to both Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank. Nicole joined Pelagos Insurance Capital in 2023 as Senior Legal Counsel and was promoted to Deputy General Counsel in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College, obtained her Graduate Diploma in Law from Oxford-Brookes University, and completed her LPC at BPP University in London.

Jason Kittinger is the Group Chief Operating Officer, having joined the company in 2024. Jason has over two decades of experience in the insurance industry, previously serving in multiple senior roles, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Arch Insurance International, where he was responsible for areas including finance, operations, strategic transformation, and process improvement. Jason began his career at Arthur Andersen. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Samford University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Anneeka Patel is the Group Chief Human Resources Officer, having joined the company in 2025. Anneeka brings over a decade of experience in HR across financial services, previously serving as acting Head of HR at Deutsche Numis. Anneeka has also held several senior HR roles at other companies including Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management, Pimco, and Russell Investments. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and Employment Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Mike Pearson is the Group Chief Risk Officer, appointed to the role in 2023. Mike has over three and a half decades of insurance and reinsurance experience and was previously Chief Risk Officer at Lancashire Insurance Group. Mike also held Head of Internal Audit roles at both Lloyd’s and company market carriers, as well as Chief Risk Officer roles in the UK and Bermuda. Mike joined the company as a Non-Executive Director in 2015. He is a Chartered Accountant and a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

William Waddell-Dudley is the UK Chief Underwriting Officer, having joined the company in 2025. William brings over two decades of insurance and reinsurance experience, previously serving as Lead Underwriter, Specialty Reinsurance at IQUW. He also led Accident & Health underwriting teams at AmTrust at Lloyd’s and Talbot Underwriters. William began his career as an underwriter with AIG and Hiscox. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Oxford-Brookes University.

Aoife Woulfe is the Ireland Chief Underwriting Officer, having joined the company in 2024. Aoife brings over a decade and a half of insurance and reinsurance industry experience, previously serving as the Head of Delegated Cyber Underwriting for Tokio Marine Kiln. She began her career at Deloitte Ireland. Aoife is also an Adjunct Professor of Practice at the University of Limerick. She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and a Master of Science from the University of Limerick and an ACII from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
